The Minister of the People’s Power for Communication and Information, Andrés Izarra, said last Sunday that the Government has evidence proving the illegal incursion of Colombian troops into Venezuelan territory.

“We have graphic stuff, pictures (…) showing the military incursion into our territory,” the Minister said during a special broadcast of Dando y Dando a program broadcast by Venezolana de Television TV station.

Last Saturday, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela formally protested the military incursion of Colombian troops in Apure State (Southeastern part of the country). However, the Colombian Minister of Defense, Juan Manuel Santos, denied this fact that has been deemed by the Venezuelan government as an “act of provocation.”

In this regard, Minister Izarra said: “It seems that Minister Santos himself is not well informed or is merely acting as if he does not know a thing.”
