Venezuela marks coup anniversary with a call for reconciliation with opposition

(Associated Press) - "Venezuelan officials marked the anniversary of a short-lived 2002 coup against President Hugo Chávez with a ceremony at congress and encouraged reconciliation with the nation's opposition.

Venezuelan Vice President José Vicente Rangel said during a speech in Venezuela's National Assembly that President Hugo Chávez's government 'is very interested in talking' with its opponents so reconciliation is possible (.)".
