Venezuela supports China's bid to join IADB
(Financial Times) - "China's bid to join the InterAmerican Development Bank has exposed divisions within the western hemisphere's most important multilateral institution, according to bank directors meeting in Okinawa for the IADB's annual conference.
The US, Japan and several Central American countries are seeking to delay Chinese entry into the bank. By contrast, South American countries - including Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela - that have benefited from growing trade and investment links with China would like to see the Asian giant's more rapid entry (.)".
