China may provide funding for building Venezuela pipeline

(The Oil Daily) - " China may provide the funding for building an oil pipeline that would carry Venezuelan oil to the Pacific via neighboring Colombia for export to Asian markets, said Colombia's President Alvaro Uribe. China is eager to secure oil and gas supplies from countries like Venezuela, Argentina and Brazil to meet increasing domestic demand (.)

The costs of the pipeline from Venezuela to the Pacific will depend on the route chosen. Uribe said there are two projects being examined, one based on expanding existing pipeline networks and another one that contemplates building the ducts from scratch (.)".
