U.S. Ambassador working to improve relations with Venezuela

(EFE) - "The U.S. ambassador to Venezuela, says his objective is to improve ties by finding common ground.

'My job is to seek out areas where we agree and move relations forward,' said William Brownfield after participating in a ceremony to donate educational material to a school in the capital.

Brownfield added that that goal remains unchanged, despite the fact that 'there are, and always will be, differences between the two governments' (.)

'The people and the government of the United States have had positive relations with the Bolívarian Republic of Venezuela for almost 200 years,' he asserted.

Brownfield added that he would continue to work 'not for hate, but for understanding; not for negative relations, but for positive relations; not for problems, but for solutions.' (.)".
