Chirac thanks Chávez for Venezuelan collaboration after plane crash

(El Nacional) - "French President Jacques Chirac met with his Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chávez and expressed his gratitude for the help provided by the country.

'I am grateful for the speed and efficiency with which Venezuelan state services intervened at the air accident's site in Maracaibo. The co-operation among the teams that were present has been of exceptional quality. I transmit my deep gratitude', said Chirac.
