Relations can improve if there is mutual respect

(El Universal) - " During his visit to the United States, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alí Rodríguez Araque, said the relations with that country are not at their best, however he stated they can improve if mutual respect is shown from both sides.

'Relations between Venezuela and United States are not in an optimal situation at the moment, after a series of hostile declarations against our country from spokesmen of the American government. This situation has to evolve and improve', Rodríguez said in a press conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

'There will always be differences of opinion, but what we truly want is for this situation to change, that we both establish a relation of mutual respect, with no intervention in our matters' said Rodríguez".
