Non-traditional exports closed in $ 6.000 million
(El Universal) - "Non-traditional exports reached 6.000 million dollars, increasing 31,2% compared to 2003, according to ABN.
In 2003, non-traditional exports reached 4.500 million dollars, according to Elías Eljuri, President of the National Statistics Institute.
The main commercial partners in Venezuelan exports are the United States, which receives 39,8% of non-traditional exports, Colombia, with 14,5% and Mexico with 6%, adding a total of 60%.
The remaining 40% is distributed between Ecuador, Brazil and Italy, among others. Most non-traditional exports from Venezuela are metal, aluminium and chemical products.
According to Bancoex estimates, non-traditional exports could reach 10.000 million dollars this year".
