Commercial exchange with Brazil will reach $ 3.000 million in 2005
(El Nacional) - "Commercial exchange between Venezuela and Brazil will grow 87,5% this year, going from 1.600 million dollars in 2004 to 3.000 million dollars by the end of this fiscal year, according to forecasts given by the private sector of both countries.
During the past four years, commercial relations with Brazil have strengthened. Brazilian companies have been frequently involved in construction, oil, energy and food industries in Venezuela. The most important one is Odebrecht, which is the company in charge of building Line 4 of the Caracas subway system (Metro de Caracas), as well as the second bridge over the Orinoco river and the irrigation system El Diluvio-El Palmar.
Nelson Quijada, President of the Brazilian-Venezuelan Chamber of Commerce, informed about the creation of a business commission in charge of following up the agreements signed by the Presidents of both countries".
