Russia agrees with Venezuela
(El Naciona)- "During his visit to Caracas, Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Serguei Ivanovich Kislyak, highlighted the many issues on which his government coincides with the government of President Hugo Chávez.
The diplomat said Russia shares the views on a multipolar world, which is an idea that Venezuela works so actively on.
'Both countries agree on international aspects, and I would like to insist that the best development model in the world is a multipolar one'.
Ivanovich met with Vice President José Vicente Rangel and Minister of Foreign Affairs Alí Rodríguez Araque, as well as other officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in order to install the third meeting of the consultation system between Venezuela and Russia.
'Venezuela is a key Latin American partner for Russia and very important when it comes to United Nations and other multilateral organisations where the future of humanity is decided', he said (...)
He also said Russia is interested in increasing commercial trade with Venezuela.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alí Rodríguez Araque said Venezuela is interested in strengthening relations with Russia. He also defended the multipolar thesis and stated 'we are not a danger to the United States or to any other country. We have not done anything to interfere with American interests and we are working hard to solve our major problem: poverty'".
