The Venezuelan government will invest 600 million dollars in electrical plants

(El Universal) - "Nervis Villalobos, president of Cadafe (Venezuelan Company of Electrical Fomentation and Administration) said between this year and the next, the government will invest 600 million dollars in the construction of several electrical plants around the country.

The company director said to the State news agency that the government plans to build several electrical plants in Puerto La Cruz and Paraguaná and he also said the Ministry of Energy wants to reactivate the Pedro Camejo plant in Carabobo. In order to do so, an investment of 100 million dollars was planned. The installation will be operating by the end of this year (...).

Villalobos said demand for electrical energy in Venezuela has had a sustained growth and this has caused the electrical availability curves to come closer to the consumers (...)".
