Chávez invites Washington for dialogue based on respect

(Xinhua News Agency) - "Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez invited the US government to hold dialogues about true democracy, terrorism, poverty, free trade and military issues.

'I will be happy to make efforts to work for constructive relations,' Chávez said, adding that such discussions must be based on respect.

Venezuelan Vice President José Vicente Rangel also said Caracas is ready to conduct 'sincere dialogues' with Washington on an equal basis (...)".
