Venezuela donates 1 million
US dollars to Haiti
(Xinhuanet- www.chinaview.cn) - "The
Venezuelan government would donate 1 million US
dollars to Haiti to help the Haitian people who
are suffering from political chaos, Foreign Minister
Jesús Pérez said.
Pérez said fuel, food and medicine would
also be sent to Haiti once all the procedures
have started.
The Minister said Venezuela shares the position
of the Organization of American States (OAS) in
insisting on the constitutional steps to find
a 'peaceful and democratic' way to defuse the
political crisis in Haiti".
