ExxonMobil to invest US$3 billion in Venezuela
(Multipuerta, reproduced by Conapri´s Newsletter) - "The multinational ExxonMobil Chemical is to invest US$3 billion in the construction and installation of a petrochemical complex in Jose, Anzoátegui state. Last Tuesday, executives from the ExxonMobil de Venezuela SA and the US ExxonMobil Corporation consortium met with National Customs and Tax Superintendent José Gregorio Vielma Mora to exchange ideas and information on Venezuelan tax conditions including tax incentives for foreign investment. Vielma Mora said that the demand for inputs and services that this type of project generates would strengthen national production, and diversify the state and local economy".
