Venezuela
ready for pipeline
(Neftegaz.ru) - "Twelve Venezuelan
companies have submitted bids to the country's
state oil company PDVSA for three contracts to
build the first stage of the east-west interconnection
gas pipeline (ICO), a source connected to the
project told BNamericas.
Twenty-eight local and international
companies had bought the bidding rules.
The first stage of the project will
transport some 40-100 million cubic feet of gas
a day about 70km from Falcon state gas fields
to the Paraguana refining complex (CRP).
The three contracts will be
awarded by the end of February, work will get
underway in March-April and operations are scheduled
to start by January 2005".
