Russia interested in transport cooperation
(BNamericas.com) - "Venezuela's infrastructure minister, Ramón Carrizalez has met with Russia's ambassador to the country, Alexy Ermakov to discuss cooperation on transport projects, according to a ministry release.

Areas of cooperation under discussion included ocean transport, railroads and aviation, according to the release. No details of specific projects, of any cooperative development timetable, or of any potential expenditure were given.

Russia expressed interest earlier this year in investing US$1bn in Venezuela to build an alumina plant, a hydroelectric plant, open a bauxite mine and set up an airline."
