New president for Bauxilum
(BNamericas.com) - "Shareholders of
Venezuelan alumina producer Bauxilum have elected
Agustín Amaro as the company's new president,
state news agency Venpres announced. Amaro replaces
Francisco Gauthier in the top spot.
Bauxilum operates the 6Mt/y Los Pijiguaos bauxite
mine in southeastern Venezuela's Bolívar
state and an alumina plant in the Guayana region
with installed capacity of 2Mt/y.
Bauxilum is 99%-owend by state heavy industries
company CVG, with the remaining 1% belonging to
the Alusuisse Lonza Holding group".
