dividend
(Reuters) - "CANTV, Venezuela's leading
telecommunications firm, said the country's foreign
exchange control board had approved $108.9 million
in hard currency for payment of dividends on its
American Depositary Receipts.
The dividends were allocated in local bolivar
currency to shareholders on April 16 until the
CADIVI currency board approved the payments in
dollars.
CANTV, whose main shareholder is U.S. firm Verizon
Communications, is the largest provider of fixed
telephone lines and Internet access in Venezuela".
