Argentina receives first shipment
of Venezuelan fuel oil
(Xinhuanet) - "The first shipment of Venezuelan
fuel oil, due to ease the energy crisis afflicting
Argentina, began to be unloaded at the port of
Buenos Aires. National and port authorities told
the press this first 50,000 tons of fuel oil will
be able to meet the country's needs until next
August.
The ship was received in the port by Federal Planning
Minister Julio De Vido, who held talks there with
Venezuelan Energy and Mines Minister Rafael Ramírez,
who accompanied the first consignment. Venezuela
will supply 1 million tons of fuel oil for electricity
generating plants in Argentina".
