Constitutional Reform project proposes extensive system of property (ABN) - "President Hugo Chávez said once again that the Constitutional Reform project proposed a very extensive system of property, which includes the social, collective, communal, state and private property.
'The opposition assured during six months that I would propose to eliminate the private property; but they are surprised now because I propose and say that several modes of properties will be recognized, among them the private property, contemplated in article 115', the President said during his weekly TV program Aló Presidente, held in Valle Seco community, Anzoátegui state.
Recently, the national newspaper El Nacional published that the Constitutional Reform will exclude the private property; the President replied it labeled the news as a kind of manipulation.
Furthermore, he said that the opposition criticized that the Constitutional Reform project evades the corruption issue, which is totally false because the proposal includes the strengthening of the people's power. 'When the resources are directly given to the people, the State avoids the participation of mediators or cases of corruption'.
In his opinion, the people's power has to increase the solutions for the communities' problems and the struggle against corruption".
