More than 1 million employments have been created since 2002

(Agencia Bolivariana de Noticias) - "According to semester averages provided by the National Statistics Institute (INE), more than 1,025,671 jobs have been created and the employment rate has being growing non-stop since 2002.

The numbers provided by the INE show the employment rate reached 87.2%, which means 9,685,597 citizens are employed.

This percentage dropped to 80.8% during the first semester of 2003 as a consequence of the oil strike and started recovering during the second semester of that same year when it reached 83.2%

This recovery has been non-stop and has gone from 83.4% (1st semester of 2004) to 86.1% (2nd semester of 2004); 86.7% (1st semester 2005) and 88.6% (second semester of 2005).

This growth in the employment rate comes as a result of the nine quarters of consecutive economical growth in Venezuela, boosted by high oil prices and the dynamic effect it has on the productive sectors".
