(PDVSA Press Room) - "The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nicolás Maduro, announced that in the month of August of the current year the construction of the Transoceanic Gasduct will be completed. This project is being carried out by Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA) throughout the Colombian Guajira, as per guidelines of the energy integration of the Bolivarian Government of Venezuela.

This information was provided by the Venezuelan Chancellor along with his Colombian counterpart María Consuelo Araujo, with whom Maduro held a meeting this past Monday at the Yellow House. During the meeting, the chancellors and their respective technical teams discussed important issues from the cooperation agenda.

Maduro also pointed out that fuel trade at the Venezuelan 'Colombian border was also one of the topics analyzed during the encounter'. The Venezuelan Chancellor added that 'the meeting was very positive and that the disposition to continue working with Colombia prevails'.

Likewise, he announced that both the energy and commercial issues will be further discussed, during the first semester of the current year, during meetings held with the Minister of Energy and Petroleum and the Minister of External Commerce.

On the other had, The Colombian Minister declared that 'this union denotes the current good relationship between Venezuela and Colombia'. Moreover, The Chancellor confirmed the progress of the agreements between the two countries not only in matters of energy, but also in other matters, as well as the binational disposition to give continuation to the process of integration and cooperation of the two nations".
