Venezuela and Bolivia draw still closer

(Prensa Latina) - "Bolivian Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca, who met in Caracas with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the strengthening of bilateral relations in line with the interests of the peoples.

It is about sharing what we have, he explained, thus we are speaking about a complementary process between peoples, because by isolation it will be impossible to go on.

Regarding those who try to end these bilateral relations, Choquehuanca recalled that there have been attempts to split this part of the world apart for more than 500 years.

There will always be people opposed to this process of integration and consolidation of South American brotherhood, he indicated.

Maduro reported that the meeting dealt with bilateral issues to strengthen energy, social and financial cooperation, as well as with matters of Latin American and Caribbean integration.

'We are living at a special moment in our lives as peoples and in bilateral relations, based on principles of solidarity, cooperation, complementation and shared development toward a better future,' the Venezuelan foreign minister said..

Maduro specified that both parties will evaluate the measures toward achieving objectives in the context of ALBA (Bolívarian Alternative for the Americas ) and that both Presidents Hugo Chávezand Evo Morales will be presented with the proposals.

'We are immersed in a new era, the South American, Latin American and Caribbean era,' he commented".
