Chávez sends more aid to Bolivia (Prensa Latina) - "Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez said that his country will send a second shipment of humanitarian aid to Bolivia, where President Evo Morales has decreed a National Disaster.
The most severe floods in decades have left a toll of 39 deaths and more than 350,000 displaced people.
While speaking on his radio program Aló Presidente, Chávez received confirmation from Foreign Minister Nicolás Maduro that two cargo planes were ready to take off carrying humanitarian aid for Bolivia.
We dedicate this program to Bolivia, where a tragedy is taking place and more than 70 percent of the country is flooded, commented the Venezuelan head of State.
Maduro informed that the Venezuelan delegation that will take the humanitarian aid would be led by Communal Economy Minister Pedro Morejon.
The emergency operation, which is carried out in conjunction with Cuba, involves two cargo planes laden with 30 tons of aid and 20 electrical plants, said the Venezuelan foreign minister".
