Venezuelan Vice President for socialist equity

(Prensa Latina) - "Venezuela's Vice President Jorge Rodríguez said that the socialist model represents 'the search of equity, equality, and inclusion,' in favor of the full development of mankind.

In an interview with En Confianza television program, Rodríguez said that a project of those characteristics reflects 'the prevalence of solidarity over competition.' Regarding the construction of the so called the 21st century socialism, the vice president said it is the design of a new socialism and not a copy of other socialist models.

In this sense, Rodríguez mentioned a recent study in which over 60 percent surveyed supported the establishment of a socialist system in Venezuela.

A reaction like this, noted the vice president, is also related to the management of President Hugo Chávez, who has kept his promises, which is atypical in the Venezuelan political panorama".
