Alcasa produces 1.7% more in June
(Business News Americas) - "Venezuelan aluminum reducer Alcasa reported production of 14,736t in June, a 1.7% increase over 14,487t over the same month of 2006.
The reducer - a subsidiary of Venezuelan state heavy industry holding CVG - also said that sales rose to 12,826t, local press reported without specifying the breakdown between domestic and export sales.
Alcasa's production came to 178,124t in 2006, down 4.6% from 186,707t in 2005.
Alcasa is located in eastern Venezuela 's Puerto Ordaz city. The company is 92% owned by CVG and the remaining 8% is held by US company Alcoa".
