Director of Foreign Policy of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Venezuela has every right to amend laws
(El Universal) - 'Any country is entitled to amend laws,' said the Director General for Foreign Policy of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rafael Dezcallar, in reference to a constitutional reform championed by Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez.
This right can be effective based on the relevant legal procedures, noted the official during a course sponsored by Madrid's Universidad Complutense in San Lorenzo de El Escorial, located in the Spanish capital city, Efe quoted.
Chávez plans to submit soon to the National Assembly (AN) a draft constitutional reform that provides for unlimited presidential reelection. The opposition has labeled the attempt as fascist. (.)". |
