(Prensa Latina) - "Ecuadorian Vice president Lenin Moreno held talks on with a group of children from his country that will travel to Venezuela to undergo free heart surgeries.

Thanks to an agreement with the Venezuelan government and Quiport Company, which administers Quito's international airport, the first five children will fly to Caracas free of charges, Moreno said.

The children, who are between three and 14 years old, will undergo operations, due to heard diseases, at the Children's Ibero-American Cardiological Hospital of Caracas, he said.

The vice president recalled that he immediately processed during his trip to that neighboring nation in February a whole medical assistance program for children with heart problems.

He also said that the program covers surgery, air transportation, accommodations, and food for the children and an accompanying relative, absolutely free of charges".
