The Venezuelan Minister of Culture, Francisco Sesto, announced the creation of eight museums. 'We are executing a very ambitious museum plan,' he pointed out.

Other Museums to be created include the Museum of Photography, the Museum of Architecture, the Museum of Filmmaking, the Museum of Cultural Diversity, the Museum of Popular Crafts and Art and the Museum of Word.

The new Museum of Science and Technology will be managed by Sixto Cesarino, former manager of the Museum of Science.

Minister Sesto recalled that the Ministry of the Interior and Justice is transferring four Bolivarian Museums to the Ministry of Culture. These museums include the Bolivarian Museum, and Simón Bolívar's House.

On the other hand, the minister said that an agreement will be signed in the short term in order to incorporate the Art Museum of Coro City and the Art museum of Calabozo City into the Foundation of National Museums.

He mentioned that they are also holding conversations to do the same with the Art Museum of Barquisimeto City and the Art museum of San Felipe City.

He also expressed that they are working on proposals to create the Museum of Music, the Museum of Scenic Arts, the Museum of Toys and the Museum of Oil.
