Belarus and Venezuela ink energy and petrochemical agreement

(BNamericas.com) - "Venezuela's energy and oil minister Rafael Ramírez and Belarus energy minister Alexander Ozenets have signed an energy and petrochemicals cooperation agreement, the South American country's state oil company PDVSA said in a statement.

The agreement opens the door to joint exploration, production and distribution of oil, natural gas and other energy resources; the exchange of goods and services; analyses of sector trends; and training.

A scientific and technical cooperation component will focus on improving the use of technologies in upstream and downstream activities, among other areas.

Venezuela's state petrochemicals company Pequiven and Belarus' state petrochemicals firm Belaruskali also signed a letter of intent under which the latter would study the feasibility of importing potassium chloride from Belarus".
