The Venezuelan government repudiates attacks on the Lebanese city of Cana
(Agencia Bolivariana de Noticias) - "Venezuelan Vice President, José Vicente Rangel, expressed in the name of the Venezuelan government his adhesion to the world repudiation towards the Israeli attacks to the Lebanese city of Cana.
This information was given through a press release issued by the Vice President's Office, where Rangel demanded that Israelis cease the invasion in Lebanon and called the UN to maintain a diligent and energetic attitude in this sense.
'Venezuela, who has never had contrary attitudes towards the Jewish people, who recognised the existence of Israel and received the Jewish community guaranteeing them absolute respect; has the right to demand the immediate cease of the actions carried out by the State of Israel against unarmed people, as well as the use of disproportionate military resources', said Vice President Rangel.
At the same time Rangel highlighted that after the massacre in Cana 'it is time to demand the cease of Israeli agression, as well as an energetic and diligent attitude from the UN, otherwise it would cause world repudiation' (...)".
