Alcasa to form new management area

(BNamericas.com) - "Venezuelan state aluminum reducer Alcasa will set up a management team to oversee 'popular economy and ongoing training,' which will act as liaison between the company, cooperatives, and neglected sectors of the population, said Alcasa in a statement.

The purpose of the initiative is to provide support for disadvantaged groups, as in the case of the unemployed and cooperatives, company president Carlos Lanz Rodríguez was quoted as saying.

The executive stressed that unemployed construction workers need to organize themselves by seniority and trade so they will be able to participate in the company's future hirings.

Alcasa will also assist with construction of a center for the provision of continuous training, aimed at increasing educational and professional skill levels.

The Alcasa plant, controlled by state heavy industry holding CVG, is in the Matanzas industrial zone of Puerto Ordaz city, in eastern Venezuela 's Guayana region".
