Lula to travel to Caracas to sign Venezuela's adhesion to Mercosur

(El Universal) - "Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is to travel next July 4 to Caracas, in order to take part in the extraordinary summit where Venezuela is to initial the protocol of adhesion to the Southern Common Market (Mercosur), announced Brazilian President's Office.

Mercosur (Argentinean, Brazilian, Paraguayan, and Uruguayan) Foreign Ministers signed on June 16th Venezuela's Protocol of Adhesion as full member, in an extraordinary summit held in Buenos Aires, recalled AFP.

The protocol is to be signed by Mercosur Presidents in a meeting to be held in Caracas on July 4".
