Ecuadorian patients arrive in Venezuela

(El Universal) - "A delegation of 105 Ecuadorian patients with eye troubles arrived in Venezuela for free health care.

The patients were taken to Barquisimeto, the capital city of western Lara state, to undergo eye surgery as part of Mission Miracle, the Ministry of Communication and Information said in a press release, as quoted by AP.

Ecuador was the first nation to join the international plan of Mission Miracle, started last December.

To date, 1,154 Ecuadorians have been operated in Venezuela. An additional group of 1,153 people is waiting for surgery.

In the context of Mission Miracle, Venezuela has received patients with eye disorders from Central America, the Caribbean and the Andean region".
