President Chávez opens Latin American cultural center in Moscow
(VHeadline.com news) - "During a visit to the Russian Federation, President Chávez has inaugurated the Simón Bolívar Latin American Cultural Centre in Moscow.
The headquarters of the new Institute is next to the state library for foreign literature.
The object of the new institute will be to open Latin American culture to Russia and neighboring countries.
An agreement has been signed between the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and the Russian state library.
Cultural centre director, Ekaterina Guenieva recalls that the centre is the result of a promise made last year by the Venezuelan President when he unveiled a bust of Simón Bolívar in the library.
A Russian dance company opened the event, which was followed by folk dancing performed by members of the National Foundation of Dances Venezuela".
