Hesperia Hotels will invest USD 51 million in Venezuela

(El Universal) - "According to a press release, Hesperia Hotels announced an aggressive expansion plan in Venezuela that will include an investment of USD 51 million until 2007.

The business model includes the modernization of the Margarita Island Hisperia Hotel, the expansion of the vacation centre Playa el Agua and the installation of a hotel chain in Carabobo state with the Hesperia Valencia (...)

(...)According to Jorge Villanova, general director of Hesperia Venezuela 'In 2006 we started the incorporation of 260 rooms in Hesperia Playa el Agua. With the construction of Hesperia Valencia we will open a new urban market with 250 rooms and suites'.

Hesperia Hotels expect to have 1.242 rooms in the country by 2007".
