Chávez popularity on the rise

(Prensa Latina) - "The newest polls in Venezuela show President Hugo Chávez's growing popularity with a view to December 3 elections.

SEIJAS Poll Company, which worked for opposite Democratic Party for years, gave Chávez 82 percent of popular support.

According to the survey, the statesman is easily ahead of any opposition runners and has 60 percent of the intended vote.

Local media echoed Consultores 21 company results, similar to those of SEIJAS, which confirm Chávez's resounding support of the people.

The National Electoral Council has officially announced the election, released the chronogram to elect the new Venezuelan head of state for the next six years and ratified December 3 as the date to carry out the vote".
