The government will inaugurate medical centres and announces the creation of a new social programme

(El Universal) - "President Chávez announced the creation of the social programme Misión Madres del Barrio during the inauguration of a High Tech Medical Diagnosis Centre in Vargas State.

He also said he will deliver 35 high tech medical centres this year.

With the social programme 'Madres del Barrio', President Chávez initiates the government's crusade with the participation of communal leaders in the fight against drugs, school desertion, teenage pregnancy and censing women in extreme poverty, who will benefit from a monthly bonus (...)

Simultaneous to the inauguration ceremony of the High Tech Medical Diagnosis Centre in Vargas (CAT) state, two more centres were inaugurated in Yaracuy and Trujullo states, as well as 17 Centres of Integral Diagnosis (CDI) in Aragua, Carabobo, Lara, Barinas, Cojedes, Mérida, Falcón, Apure, Guárico, Anzoátegui and Miranda states (...)

President Chávez also announced that there will be an investment of USD 447 million (960 billion bolivares) for the modernization of 43 hospitals nationwide".
