Nicaragua endorsed cooperation convention with Venezuela
(El Universal) - "The Nicaraguan National Assembly (AN) endorsed a framework cooperation convention with Venezuela for about USD 20 million, DPA reported.
The pivotal agreement includes seven bills on economic and technological cooperation in the areas of energy, agriculture, finance, training and cultural exchange.
During a plenary session, the Congress voted Nicaragua's inclusion in the Bolívarian Alternative for the Americas (Alba) composed of Cuba, Bolivia and Venezuela.
Opposition lawmakers vowed to 'keep a watchful eye' to prevent any irregularities in the context of the economic and technological cooperation offered by the government of Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez".
