US-dollar denominated bonds may be traded in Caracas exchange

(El Universal) - "The Ministry of Finance is pondering the possibility to expand the number of instruments to be traded in the Venezuelan stock market.

One of the options currently under analysis is likely negotiation at the Caracas Stock Exchange of the covered interest and capital titles (TICC), which are bonds sold at the official exchange rate under the first and second issuances of the Bond of the South.

TICC will also be used for the upcoming third issuance of the Bond of the South. The Ministry of Finance, therefore, expects operations in the Caracas Stock Exchange related to TICC may start following the new joint debt issue with Argentina.

For the secondary market transactions to take place, the Central Bank of Venezuela needs to outline a number of regulations. The Ministry of Finance has proposed trading other titles too".
