Venezuela reform knocks at doors (Prensa Latina) - "The Venezuelan National Assembly is organizing a house-by-house debate to get community support for the projected constitutional reform presented by President Hugo Chávez in mid August.
Parliament President Cilia Flores indicated they are already working with 80,000 volunteers, who will give thorough information on the changes proposed to 33 articles of the Constitution. Parliament members will also join the initiative, she added.
Extraordinary sessions on the reform in the Andean region and Miranda state have been similarly programmed, to create an environment favorable to debate.
That way, Flores stated, opinions by all sectors will be taken into consideration during the third discussion of the Project at the National Assembly".
