National Assembly to discuss article by article constitutional reform in October

(Agencia Bolivariana de Noticias) - "Since October 9, the National Assembly (AN) will start discussing article by article the constitutional reform bill.

The announcement was made by the president of the National Assembly, deputy Cilia Flores, who assures that this activity will be in parallel with the public consultation of such bill.

Flores's statements were given after the ordinary meeting of the Joint Committee for the constitutional reform, carried out in the Federal Legislative Palace, according the Parliament's web page report.

Flores mentioned that at any moment the Directive Board of the NA has the authority to call for extraordinary sessions, but right now the priority is the constitutional reform.

Likewise, she indicated that the Directive Board of the Parliament will call for ordinary sessions 'only when there is specific matter to discuss'.

On the other hand, she said that letting the deputies free of followed parliamentary sessions will contribute to keep legislators in their states in order to let them dedicate to the public consultation of the constitutional reform. Besides, she made a call to every sector".
