Rodríguez Zapatero
will talk to Spanish parliamentarians
about the coup d'etat in Venezuela

Zapatero postponed his trip to Moscow
in order to attend a Parliamentary session
in which the main issue will be the
debate about the alleged support given
by the former government to a coup d'etat
against Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez

confirmed that the President's intention
is to show he is not avoiding responsibilities
and face the Spanish Parliament to
talk about the controversy about Venezuela

In fact, President Rodríguez
Zapatero will attend with his Minster
of Foreign Affairs, Miguel Angel Moratinos,
who had already planned to attend
this session and talk about this matter

In his statements, Moratinos
said that former Ambassador of Spain
in Venezuela was instructed to support
a coup d'etat against President Chávez

Former Mexican Minister
of Foreign Affairs, Jorge Castañeda,
said that his country and Chile were
the ones that impeded the coup against
President Chávez and confirmed
that governments like the United States
and Spain approved the action taken
against the Venezuelan President.
