British Parliamentarians
introduce an early motion to support Venezuelan
government
(Radio Nacional de Venezuela, RNV)
- "Representatives of the House of
Commons introduced two parliamentary motions
supporting the Venezuelan government.
One condemns the assassination of Public
Prosecutor Danilo Anderson and the other
condemns the United States' inherence
in Venezuelan affairs.
The first motion was introduced
in the British Parliament by the Labour
MP John Mc Donnell, and expresses preoccupation
'for a new attempt to subvert the country
in the hands of those who do not wish
to respect the will of the Venezuelan
people' (
)
The second initiative
was promoted by British Parliamentarians
Andrew George, Alan Simpson, Kelvin Hopkins,
Harry Barnes, Jenny Tonge, Mathew Green
and John Mc Donnell and it condemns the
interference of the United States in Venezuelan
internal democratic affairs. At the same
time it highlights the social programmes
promoted by the government to benefit
the Venezuelan people (
