An
example for Latin America

A group of international observers that
participated during the elections in Venezuela
has presented a report to the National
Electoral Council and declared to the
press that the automated system used for
the regional elections 'is an example
for Latin America and the rest of the
world'.
This
delegation expressed their 'satisfaction
for the development of the elections process,
in which Venezuelans behaved peacefully
showing their will to consolidate a democratic
culture'.
The
89 magistrates of electoral tribunals,
parliamentarians, academics, political
leaders and diplomats that integrated
the delegation also decided, unanimously,
to highlight the work done by the National
Electoral Council and their success in
reengineering the voting centres. (…)".
