Venezuela explores options to launch satellite with help from Russia

(AP Worldstream) - "Venezuela is exploring options to launch a satellite and is contemplating offers from Russia to help in the process, Venezuela's ambassador to Russia said.

'We cannot fall behind in the communications business. We need that satellite,' said Carlos Mendoza. Mendoza said President Hugo Chávez's government has held talks with officials from Russia's Khrunichev State Space Center, who have offered to help Venezuela place a satellite in orbit (…)".
