Venezuela defends proposed media law
(Big News Network.com) - "Venezuela's Information Ministry spoke out against criticism of the nation's proposed new media law that some say may inhibit freedom.

The Law for Responsibility in Radio and Television would prevent television stations from showing sex, violence or vulgar language between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

President Hugo Chávez says the law would protect the nation's children from being exposed to adult themes (…)".
