Telecommunications will
benefit from economic recovery
(El Nacional)- "The president
of Telcel, Enrique García, said
that private operators in the telecommunication
business will take advantage of the good
moment offered by the economic reactivation
(…) He calculated that the sector
will grow a total of 26% this year and
in 2005 the same upturn will be repeated.
Telcel plans to deeply
explore the service of corporative landlines,
since their demand has been benefited
by economic growth, but García
also has hopes in the expansion of mobile
phone markets (…)
García also
declared that the public phones have
an enormous potential of growth in Venezuela
(...)"
