for a business round
(El Nacional) - "The
Brazilian President Luiz Inácio
Lula Da Silva will travel to Venezuela
participate in a business round that will
take place between November 21st and 23rd
in Margarita Island, with representatives
of business sectors from both countries,
as announced by Venezuelan Bancoex (Banco
de Comercio Exterior).
After the business round,
which Lula will head together with his
Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chávez,
an increase is forecasted in the commercial
exchange: from $2bn in 2004 to $2,5bn
in 2005, as calculated by Victor Álvarez,
president of Bancoex.
Last July, Argentinean
President Néstor Kirchner and
President Chávez headed a similar
business round with participants from
both countries in Margarita Island (

500 firms have already
enrolled to participate in the conference,
175 exporters and 75 importers from
both countries, but there is still time
for others to register, the bank informed.
Álvarez explained
that it is all about "boosting
the complementary economies of Venezuela
and Brazil".
In the same way, the effort is oriented
"to stimulating strategic partnerships
in tourism, as well as closing deals
with the advantage of trade agreements",
