Unemployment drops 1,1% during August
(Agencia EFE, reproduced by Últimas Noticias) - "Unemployment in Venezuela dropped to 14,2%, which is 1,1% lees than last month, as informed by the National Statistics Institute (INE).

A report issued by the INE explains that this percentage means 1.704.704 people were unemployed in Venezuela from the 2nd to 29th of August, when the study was made.

Compared to August 2003, 'the unemployment rate dropped 3,6 points', given that one year ago it was 17,8%, which means, 2.149.678 people (…) ".
